I live in the desert and have a room that stays hot I put this up on the roof overhang about 8" away from the window. There is a several degree drop in the room since then and it doesnt draw a lot of attention. If you are familiar with actual military camouflage nets this feels cheap but when it is effective that doesnt bother me much.
