I like the pattern and as a bonus, the incongruence makes it easier to spot your bag. The bag is a medium size suitable for most functions. The negative space on the pattern in is more tan/khaki hued than I expected from the photos, however I think I prefer it. The zippers and velcro perform adequately to the task with no snagging or otherwise. The interior pocket fits a small to medium laptop easily. The straps are padded lightly, and shouldn't cause much sweat, on the other hand they are not plushly padded if that is a concern. I didn't notice any defects yet in the seams.. The bag is a lighter weight material than some others I have used.

My final thoughts on the yellowstone - This is not a top of the line backpack, but at the price it shouldn't be expected. It seems sturdy enough, will work well for school kids and their belongings , the straps are comfortable though padding runs on the lighter side, there are ample pockets for tech, books, gear, etc. Regarding the lighter weight material, every gram can count when traveling distance, and this bag seems to value convenience and multi-purposefulness.
